Introduction:

The Flow Cytometry & Cell Sorting Platform at ATLATL is designed to help teams analyze, isolate, and validate key cell populations quickly and accurately.

By combining multiparametric flow cytometry with sterile, closed-system cell sorting, the platform enables precise characterization and isolation of cells from complex samples such as blood, tissues, and engineered cell systems. This allows researchers to generate high-quality, decision-ready data for downstream applications.

Located within ATLATL’s bio-hubs, scientists work side-by-side with technical experts, enabling rapid assay setup, real-time optimization, and efficient execution. The platform supports a wide range of applications—from basic cell biology to advanced cell therapy and immunology programs—accelerating both research and translational development.

Multiparametric Cell Analysis

High-throughput analysis of cell phenotype, function, and viability across complex populations.

Cell Sorting (Closed-System)

Sterile, high-purity isolation of target cell populations using cartridge-based, contamination-free sorting technology, suitable for sensitive downstream applications.

Immunophenotyping

Detailed profiling of immune cell populations (T cells, B cells, NK cells, etc.) using surface and intracellular markers.

Functional Cell Assays

Assessment of cytokine production, proliferation, apoptosis, signaling pathways, and other cellular functions.

Cell Cycle & Viability Analysis

Measurement of cell cycle progression, proliferation, and apoptosis for experimental validation.

The MACSQuant Analyzer platform in our core facility comprises four instruments (X, VYB, 10, and 16 configurations), providing versatile support for a wide range of assays, including immunophenotyping and functional analysis of fluorescently labeled cells. It is well-suited for researchers in cell manufacturing, immunology, systems biology, cell biology, neuroscience, and related fields, offering highly reliable and sensitive flow cytometric analysis with minimal hands-on time.

The MACSQuant® Tyto® is a next generation, benchto pcell sorter equipped with 3 lasers, which allows for 10-parameter cell sorting. A unique feature of the instrument is the fact that the actual sorting process takes place exclusively within the MACSQuant Tyto Cartridge. The cartridge provides a single-use, disposable and fully closed system, eliminating the risk of sample contamination and carry-over.
